John Crandell III and ReactorPanel Saddle Company Collaborate to Design the Heraldic Lightweight Endurance and Trail Saddle

John Crandell III, the 2007 Chronicle of the Horse Overall Horseman of the Year and his famous horse Heraldic are household names in the sport of endurance. They were the first - and so far only - pair to earn the “Triple Crown” in the history of American endurance riding by winning the Virginia Old Dominion 100, The Western States Tevis Cup and the AERC National Championship in 2006.

Mill Creek Stables Welcomes Yann Candele

Mill Creek Stables welcomes three-time Canadian Show Jumping Champion Yann Candele to its world-class facility in Cambridge, ON.

Beginning this spring, Candele will base his business, Normandy Hills, at Mill Creek Stables.  In addition to welcoming horses and riders for training, Candele will focus on young horse development and sales.  2008 Olympic Champion Eric Lamaze will support Candele by identifying quality prospects in Europe, while Mill Creek Stables owner Phil Henning will work with Candele to invest in sales horses.

USEF Announces U.S. Eventing Team Veterinary Panel and Associate Veterinarians

The USEF is pleased to announce the Veterinary Panel as well as the Associate Veterinarians for the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team. The U.S. Eventing Team Veterinary Panel will play a vital role in the evaluation, selection and success of the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team on team trips and championships in the coming years. The Associate Veterinarians will help in supporting team efforts when necessary. The USEF would like to thank the outgoing panel of Dr. Brendan Furlong, Dr. Catherine Kohn and Dr. PJ McMahon for more than a decade of service to the program.

AAEA Spring Invitational Show Opens At Two Locations In April

For the first time in recent years the American Academy of Equine Art is hosting the annual Spring Invitational Exhibition and sale at two venues simultaneously.  It will be on display from April 12 through May 24 at the Anne Wright Wilson Gallery at Georgetown College, Georgetown, Kentucky and shown from April 13-June 30 at the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art, Marietta, Georgia.

Welsh Pony & Cob Society of America 2013 AGM Award Presentations

The Welsh Pony and Cob Society of America (WPCSA) held its 2013 Annual General Meeting over the weekend of February 21-24, 2013 in Portland, Oregon.  Society members from across the United States enjoyed a packed-full agenda that included such events as Society Board, business and committee meetings, informative clinics, award banquets and presentations.

St. Christopher’s Horse Show Prize List Now Available Online

The St. Christopher’s Horse Show, which returns to Pennsylvania’s scenic Lebanon Valley region at the historic Quentin Riding Club in Quentin, PA, May 8-12, has posted its prize list online. The prize list gives information on the many classes available to riders as well as additional information. 

The prize list details the tentative time schedule, lists the show’s officials and lays out the prizes and entry fees for each class.

Mount Holyoke To Host 2013 IDA National Championship

Mount Holyoke College Equestrian Center in South Hadley, Massachusetts and their dressage team will host more than 100 riders from more than 20 colleges and universities throughout the United States at the Intercollegiate Dressage Association’s 12th annual National Championship on April 27 and 28.

The Cup Raises Money For Health Care

Staff and volunteers at The Carolina Cup Racing Association have a big goal this year -- to make charitable contributions that exceed last year’s mark of more than a quarter million dollars.

The fundraising begins with the 81st running of The Carolina Cup, which is set for March 30th, 2013 at the Springdale Race Course in Camden.
