The Southeast Medal Finals is Officially Underway at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center

Jacksonville, Florida (September 17, 2015) Southeast Medal Finals producer James Lala promised, “There are notable changes at the 2015 Southeast Medal Finals from last year that we hope you will be as excited about as we are.” As the Southeast Medal Finals hunter, jumper, and equitation competition officially gets underway at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center, both Lala and the new management at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center are showing how exciting these new changes are.

WIHS Is “Keeping Up With the Equestrians” at Barn Night 2015

Washington, D.C. - September 14, 2015 – The 2015 Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) is pleased to announce the details of this year’s WIHS Barn Night, presented by Dover Saddlery. Barn Night is a favorite with young riders, barn mates and horse lovers who attend in groups and have a chance to enter contests, win great prizes, and enjoy a fun, horse-filled evening. This year’s Barn Night, themed “Keeping Up With the Equestrians,” will be held Thursday evening, October 22, during the 57th annual WIHS competition at Verizon Center in downtown Washington, D.C.

Dot Demis Awarded Grant From TDF’s Renee Isler Dressage Support Fund

September 14, 2015 - The Dressage Foundation's Renee Isler Dressage Support Fund has awarded a $750 grant to Dot Demis of Townsend, MA.

Dot is a USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold Medalist and USEF ‘R’ Judge. She has been licensed for over fifteen years, and has been accepted into the ‘S’ Judges Training Program, for which she will be using her Isler Fund grant.

The Excitement Begins as Regional Qualifying Gets Underway for the 2015 US Dressage Finals Presented By Adequan®

September marks the traditional end of summer but it also rings in the start of the fall championship season as the first round of Great American Insurance Group/United States Dressage Federation (USDF) Regional Championships get underway across the country, with almost 950 competitors preparing to ride down the centerline this weekend in USDF Regions 2 (Michigan), 7 (California), and 8 (New York).

Janelle Henningsen (Tess Harris, Paul Rohrbach, and Corky Shaha, trainers) has dreamed about going to the ASPCA Maclay Finals ever since she was 12 years old. Every year, she would plant herself down in front of the computer and spend virtually the whole day watching every jump, every lead change, every extended trot. Now after winning the Maclay Regional Final for Region 6 at the Colorado Fall Preview (Sept 3-6), the junior from Valor Christian High School is finally heading to Kentucky to show the rest of the nation what she has to offer.
