Charles Owen is pleased to announce “Helmet Awareness Week” as part of its partnership with Horse Shows In the Sun (HITS) and Riders4Helmets.  “Helmet Awareness Week” will be held February 7 – 12 at both the Dessert and Ocala Winter Circuits and will be announced for the HITS On-the-Hudson Circuit.  Charles Owen and HITS are joined by “Riders4Helmets” as part of a combined mission to educate  riders to the benefits of  always wearing approved headwear.

Zairo Interagro, a beautiful grey Lusitano stallion bred by Interagro Lusitanos, participated as a demonstration horse the during the USDF FEI-Level Trainer’s Conference with trainer Heather Bender. The USDF Trainer’s Conference was held at High Meadow Farm in Loxahatchee, Florida, and featured Christoph Hess, an FEI “I” judge in both dressage and eventing.

Thanks to the efforts of the show management team from the Gold Coast Dressage Association and the Wellington Dressage Classic Association, the 2012 Dressage season kicked off with three amazing CDI events in January and 2 Paralympic Qualifiers.

New Bolton Center has released its First Tuesday Lecture Series schedule through February 2013. The First Tuesdays Lecture Series offers an open lecture, at no charge, the first Tuesday of each month at University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine (Penn Vet) New Bolton Center. This popular series of one-hour lectures begins its third year this spring, covering a wide range of veterinary subjects of relevance to the horse owner and caregiver. All are presented by New Bolton Center clinicians with expertise in the subject.

For Gaye Scarpa of Magnolia Farm, dreams of a world class dressage facility have come true, right in her own back yard.  As a sponsor of the inaugural 2012 Global Dressage Festival (GDF) at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC), Scarpa saw an opportunity not only for the accomplished dressage rider to have a home in Wellington but to introduce the sport to spectators.

The National Collegiate Equestrian Association (formerly Varsity Equestrian) is pleased to announce the 3nd Annual Collegiate Equitation Challenge to be held at the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL. The first round of the event will take place on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 2 p.m. in Ring 8 and the finals will be at  7 p.m. in the International Arena of the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.
