Everything Comes Up Sunny Drescher At EAP National Training Session

At the conclusion of the USHJA Emerging Athletes Program National Training Session, Sunny Drescher, 16, finished the four days of immersion in horsemanship, riding and training with a battery of USHJA clinicians with the win.

Drescher is a high school junior from Hinesburg, Vt., and a student of Annie Dotoli and Aster Peiters at Tibri in Chepachet, R.I. She owns one horse that she shows in the 3’6” equitation division and also catch-rides sales horses for Dotoli and Peiters.

EAP Day 2: Transitions, Transitions

The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association Emerging Athletes Program training sessions for Nov. 16 began on the flat with clinician Peter Wylde asking riders to create smooth transitions by performing them as a sequence of well-executed separate parts.

Wylde Shares Wisdoms At EAP Finals

Sixteen finalists selected from 10 regional screening clinics held throughout the country this past spring and summer are currently taking part in the U.S. Hunter Jumper Association Emerging Athletes Program’s National Training session, Nov. 14-17, with clinician Peter Wylde at the University of Findlay (Ohio).  

Horses, all on loan to the EAP program, were assigned to the riders yesterday after which their flatwork was observed by Wylde, an Olympic gold medalist, and members of the EAP Task Force.
