Sprieser Steps Closer To Brentina Cup After VADA/Nova Spring Dressage

She and Clairvoya start the season with a qualifying win.

In her first Grand Prix competition with Clairvoya, Lauren Sprieser achieved all that she’d hoped for and more at the VADA/Nova, Inc. Spring Dressage, held at Morven Park International Equestrian Center in Leesburg, Va., April 11-12.

She rode Clairvoya to a win, with a qualifying score for the USEF National Young Adult Brentina Cup in June.

Good Old-Fashioned Horsemanship Puts Delmarva Ahead At USPC Championships

Horse management scores clinch the win for this Pony Club team.

In true Pony Club fashion, the training level eventing results came down to horse management at the U.S. Pony Club Championships, held July 24-27 in Lexington, Va.

The team from Delmarva region captured the win on the combined strength of their riding and strong stable skills.

Stuntz Shows Off New Tricks At Stonewall Country II

The start of a new show season is often a time of transition, and three riders made that transition in style at Stonewall Country II, Feb. 7-10 at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Va.

Grace Stuntz took the adult amateur hunter, 18-35, championship on her new young horse, Fitzhugh, in his first show in this division.

Stuntz is no stranger to winning, since her amateur-owner horse, Saving Grace, has been very successful.  “But he had a cold, so I thought let’s show ‘Fitz’!” Stuntz said.

Quimero Back In Action At Houston Dressage Society

It was a long road back to soundness for Quimero, but the result was worth it, as he and owner Megan Georges won both Grand Prix classes at the Houston Dressage Society’s Spring Classic I and II shows, held May 5-6 in Katy, Texas.

Bell-Stanley Presents The Winning Score At Great American/USDF Region 9 Championships

urena Bell-Stanley rode for more than blue ribbons bons at the Great Amercian American/USDF Region 9 Championships, Southwest Dressage Championships and Houston Dressage Society Autumn Classic. After winning both open Grand Prix championship classes aboard Sally Chionsini's Castus, Bell-Stanley was elated.

"Sally just turned 70, so it was a big deal for her�it really was about riding it for Sally," Bell-Stanley said. Bell-Stanley and Castus topped Angel Ozer and Loki in both classes at the show, Nov. 2-5 in Katy, Texas.

Loki Pulls Through For GAIG/USDF Region 9 And Southwest Dressage Championships

Angel Ozer and Loki had a scary start to their weekend at the Great American/USDF Region 9 and Southwest Dressage Championship show, but all worked out well in the end.

"We came down on Tuesday--an eight-hour drive [from Oklahoma City]--pulled him out of the trailer and he went down," Ozer said of the 10-year-old, Oldenburg gelding. "He spent Tuesday night at the vet clinic on IV fluids. Wednesday I just walked him around. We went in Thursday morning and won the [Southwest] Grand Prix."
