USA Qualifies For London Paralympic Games

Following their performance at the Wellington Classic Sunshine Challenge (Fla.) CPEDI*** team qualifier for the Paralympics, held Jan. 25-29, the U.S. para-dressage team has qualified for the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

"It's very exciting," says Chef d'Equipe Missy Ransehousen. "I was very pleased with not only the team but with the individuals. They are a good group of people, working hard, and going forward with a good plan in mind."

The United States is among 23 nations that have qualified for the London Paralympic Games. The team’s second-placed finish on the Federation Equestre Internationale’s para-equestrian team rankings list earned it a place on the qualified list. The qualification process, which began in October 2010, concluded on Jan. 31, 2012.

The team will compete two more times before taking part in the paralympic selection trials in June
