U.S. Riders Prepare For Luhmühlen

Four U.S. pairs, Jennifer Wooten-DaFoe and The Good Witch, Will Coleman and Twizzel, Michael Pollard and Wonderful Will, and Allison Springer and Arthur are entered in the Luhmühlen CCI**** (Germany), June 16-20, as reported by Eventing Nation.

The pairs have applied for consideration for the 2010 Alltech/FEI World Equestrian Games, but they have yet to make the U.S. Eventing Team short list.

Wooten-DaFoe and Pollard fell off during cross-country at Rolex Kentucky in April, while Springer had an stop. Thus, these riders are still in the hunt for a good four-star finish this spring.

Coleman couldn’t compete at Rolex Kentucky due to the fractured collarbone he sustained at The Fork Horse Trials (N.C.) when he fell off a preliminary horse, but he and Twizzel were on the U.S. Equestrian Federation “A-list” earlier this year.

Oliver Townend will also compete, making this his first major event since the treacherous fall he and Ashdale Cruise Master suffered at Rolex Kentucky.

U.S. Eventing Chef d’équipe Captain Mark Phillips designed the Luhmühlen cross-country course.
