“Continuing to add FEI dates has been a major focus at Tryon International Equestrian Center this year. Our goal is to help keep riders competing in the United States, allowing them to gain valuable ranking points without feeling the pressure to travel internationally to stay competitive,” said Mark Bellissimo, managing partner of the Tryon Equestrian Partners. “Expanding the sport in the U.S. is crucial and in order to do that, we must give riders the opportunity to compete at the highest possible levels throughout the year.”

The brand-new venue began hosting FEI competition for the first time this year and has quickly become an international hub for many of the world’s top equestrian athletes. Offering 10 weeks of FEI competition throughout 2015 thus far, TIEC aims to dramatically influence the growth of international sport in the U.S, which has always been and continues to be a significant goal for the venue’s top leadership. TIEC strives to offer great opportunities to enhance the development of both young and emerging horses and riders.

“We’re excited to include another FEI competition to our yearly calendar and feel that we are giving riders in the U.S. ample opportunities to take advantage of these internationally sanctioned classes,” said Michael Stone, “We have received incredibly positive feedback about the venue and the classes we’re offering, with a major increased demand for FEI classes, which we will continue to provide to riders.”
