Upper-level event riders Tik Maynard and Sinead Halpin welcomed a new baby boy into the world on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 1:26 p.m. Halpin delivered Brooks Tobin Maynard at Florida Hospital in Ocala, Florida.
“[Sinead] been riding less and less horses every month until she’s just been riding the easy ones, and she hasn’t been jumping at all. The last couple weeks she hasn’t been riding at all, so she really misses it,” said Maynard. “Brooks is doing pretty good! He’s smiling, and he almost seems to be laughing. What I’m most amazed about is he’ll actually look you in the eye and make eye contact and look around the room. He’s pretty curious.”

Brooks weighed in at 6 lbs., 7 oz. Sinead’s mother, Bernadette Cogdell, and her brother, Greg Halpin, flew in for a few days to visit mother and baby, who are both strong and healthy.
