Apr 12, 2010 - 6:35 AM

Irish show jumper Jessica Kürten will not be competing in the Rolex FEI World Cup final in Switzerland next week, April 15-18, after a bad fall at home, according to HorseandHound.com.

Kürten fell from a horse at her stable in Germany on Friday, April 9, and went to the hospital. She was released over the weekend with no serious complications but will not be fit to compete in Geneva.

Kürten tied for fourth in the World Cup Final at Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2008, and was the runner-up in 2006 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Dermott Lennon and Darragh Kenny will represent Ireland this year.
