Stadium Jumping and Old Salem Farm, the organizers of the American Gold Cup, are pleased to announce that Purina Animal Nutrition, LLC will sponsor the prestigious event. The much-anticipated 2013 American Gold Cup CSI4*-W will be held September 11-15 at Old Salem Farm, one of the country’s most important and scenic venues.
“We couldn’t be happier to have Purina on board,” said Michael Morrissey, President of Stadium Jumping Inc.“Purina is the classic American equine nutrition company known for their high quality. We couldn’t ask for a better fit.”
Purina Animal Nutrition, LLC has been the leader in equine nutrition for more than 100 years and feeds more than one million horses every day. Purina also leads the industry in equine research and feed development, with formulas for feeding equine athletes, seniors, breeding horses and young horses. Purina is widely known for its consistent, superior quality that helps keep horses looking and feeling great. The company only brings new products or improvements to existing feeds to market after ensuring they will deliver what the customer expects.
“We are always looking for great opportunities to support equestrian sports and the people and horses involved,” said Kimberly James, National Sponsorship, Events and Ambassador Manager at Purina Animal Nutrition, LLC. “It’s important to us to help promote and be a part of the events and activities our clients and customers participate in, and the American Gold Cup is certainly one of these opportunities.”
James feels the American Gold Cup is an attractive event and a good fit for many reasons.
“We chose to sponsor the American Gold Cup because of the high caliber of competitors it draws, the stellar work the management team has done to promote the show in the surrounding community, the opportunity to dovetail into the NBC Sports Network broadcast and of course the picturesque venue that is Old Salem Farm,” James said. “Obviously as a brand it gives us a great level of exposure but it is also an attractive piece of a larger relationship that we hope helps support and gain exposure for equestrian sport at a national level.”
Purina Animal Nutrition is always working on developing new products to improve the health of horses.
“The newest, most exciting offerings are our new supplement line, which includes FreedomFlex™ Joint Health Product, ElectroEase™ Electrolyte Powder Supplement, HydraSalt™ Salt Supplement and our Purina® Hydration Hay™ ORIGINAL Horse Hay Block,” said James. “These additions to our family of products can help horse owners tackle even more challenges and help further round out a nutrition program, particularly for performance horses during show seasons and active horses in rising summer temperatures.”
