Only U.S. Entry Withdraws From World Championship For Young Dressage Horses

The World Championships for Young Dressage Horses are set to take place this week, Aug. 6-9, in Verden, Germany, but this year no U.S. horses will be among the competitors.

Jennifer Hoffmann had to withdraw Rubinio, the only U.S. entry, after he broke a splint bone at the show on Wednesday morning according to Eurodressage.com.

“Rubi” is a 6-year-old Westphalian stallion (Rubin Royal—Farina, Florestan I) who contested the 5-year-old division last year at the WCYH. The good news is that he is expected to make a full recovery and should return to work in four weeks.
