he Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows are pleased to announce that the prize list for this year’s competition is now available online at: www.oldsalemfarm.net. The 2013 Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows boast an increase of prize money, the addition of the Medium Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Division and a new USEF 6* jumper rating. This premier event will take place May 7-12 and May 14-19, 2013, at Old Salem Farm in North Salem, New York.
“We are proud to offer additional prize money at this year’s event, especially for the $50,000 Old Salem Farm and $100,000 Empire State Grand Prix events,” said Scott Hakim, president of Old Salem Farm. “We know this is another great step forward in elevating the event and quality of competition, and look forward to hosting everyone at this iconic competition in May.”
In addition to the USEF “AA” rated hunters and a $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby held on May 18 at 3 pm, the show’s USEF 6* rated jumper section includes world-class international competition as well as open, junior and amateur-owner jumpers. Each week the show will host two grand prix classes: the $25,000 Welcome Stake Grand Prix on May 10 at Noon; the $50,000 Old Salem Farm Grand Prix on May 12 at 2 pm; the $25,000 Grand Prix of North Salem on May 17 at Noon; and the $100,000 Empire State Grand Prix on May 19 at 2 pm. Jumper fans can also catch the $20,000 Speed Derby of North Salem on May 18 at 2 pm. The USEF Network will be broadcasting these days for fans to follow their favorite competitors.
