PrintSwedish rider Minna Telde announced today that she has had to withdraw Don Charly from the freestyle. The Swedish Warmblood stallion (Don Gregory—Indiana) twisted his foot in the warm-up, but he jogged sound at the veterinary inspection. However, he was re-examined after Thursday's competition, and he came up lame on his right foreleg.
"I am very sad. I was so excited to be here at my first World Cup Final," said the 34-year-old rider from Hasselholm. Telde and Don Charly finished ninth in the Grand Prix class.
