Millbrook Horse Trials Next Stop For PRO Tour Series

Millbrook Horse Trials at Coole Park Farm in Millbrook, New York has the distinction this year of being the first competition immediately after the Olympics in London. The Millbrook Horse Trials, held August 2-5, benefits the Dutchess Land Conservancy and is one of only a few Advanced Level competitions left in the New England region. United States Olympic Team Members, Phillip Dutton and Boyd Martin are both planning on flying directly back to the U.S. to join 2011 winner Buck Davidson and many other distinguished riders who plan to compete horses at the event.

The Millbrook Horse Trials, held August 2-5, benefits the Dutchess Land Conservancy and is one of only a few Advanced Level competitions left in the New England region. Millbrook, New York has distinguished connections for both riders as each has several horses owned by members of this community.
 
The Millbrook Horse Trials has partnered with the Professional Riders Organization for the last three years and the Advanced Division is part of the 2012 PRO Tour Series. PRO has planned several activities spectators throughout the weekend, including: color commentary provided by riders on both Saturday and Sunday and the popular PRO Kids’ Horseless Show Jumping on Saturday evening at 6:30PM at the Go For The Gold Party. In addition Skip Barber Racing will have two racecars at the party demonstrations. Tickets are available for general admission to the party for $40. Millbrook Horse Trials is a wonderful opportunity to come out and see top-level competition for the whole family, general admission is free throughout the weekend. The Millbrook Trade Fair features many top equestrian vendors as well as vendors selling jewelry and outdoor clothing. The new water view tent on the cross-country course will also provide patrons with a lovely place for viewing the action at the water complex.
 
The PRO Tour’s SSG “Go Low For The Dough” promotion, offering a total of $27,000 in Contingency Bonus Award money to riders wearing SSG Digital or SSG Eventer gloves will be featured in both the Advanced and Intermediate Divisions at Millbrook Horse Trials. In addition, the Multi Radiance Challenge will also be running at the intermediate level. The year-end Multi Radiance Challenge leader board champion will receive a MR4 ACTIVet Portable Laser System ($4,895 value).
