Mid-Atlantic Equitation Festival On Track For Debut Nov. 17-18

The Mid-Atlantic Equitation Festival and Country Life Holiday Shopping Expo (www.midatlanticeq.com) will welcome competitors, spectators and shoppers to the Show Place Arena, Upper Marlboro, MD for the first time this month. Entries are still being accepted for all classes and sections as well as for the Saturday evening Medal, Maclay, WIHS and USEF Talent Search.

The scholarship winner will receive a $1000.00 award for their submission to the scholarship committee. Candidates must apply in advance and will be awarded on Sunday the 18th of November. Any rider that plans to attend college or is currently a college or grad student is eligible to apply. See the website for details.

Winners of the Young Riders MAEF Championship (The Laura Pickett Memorial Trophy) and the Adult MAEF Championship (The Gary Zook Memorial Award) selected by Sunday judges Joe Fargis and Cynthia Hankins, will be awarded Bruno Delgrange Saddles, one of the most highly regarded saddle makers available on the market today. Smart Pak bridles will be awarded to the Reserve Champions on Sunday, as well as to the Champion of the MAEF Flat Equitation Champion.

Top ribbon winners will receive ISellTack.com saddle pads. All riders will also get a MAEF swag bag packed with all kinds of goodies including great L’Oreal products.

Holiday shoppers will enjoy booths featuring apparel, jewelry, gifts and specialty items. Admission is free to shop and enjoy the show. Bring cuttings from your horses’ tail to be made into beautiful jewelry by Pony Locks. Der Dau will be on hand to fit you for the latest in riding and fashion footwear.
