EEM World, the creator and organizer of the Masters Grand Slam Indoor show jumping series, has announced Los Angeles as its first U.S. location for its prestigious tour. The Los Angeles Masters competition is slated for Sept. 25-28 and will join the Longines Hong Kong Masters (taking place this weekend, Feb. 21-23) and the Gucci Paris Masters (exact December dates yet to be determined).
The CSI***** event, to which the top 25 riders from the Longines FEI global ranking list will be invited to compete for a total prize money $1 million, will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Modeled after the Grand Slam of tennis, show jumping Masters competitions are broadcast to a global audience of over 500 million homes. The events combine world-class jumping with fine dining, luxury shopping, art exhibitions, entertainment and charity fundraising.
“Horses are my passion, and it is my dream to bring the wonderful and spectacular sport of show jumping to the forefront of the international sporting scene,” said EEM World founder and CEO Christophe Ameeuw. “With the Los Angeles Masters we are fulfilling our American dream while adding a third continent to our global event concept.”
The U.S. event is expected to welcome nearly 30,000 spectators. Additional information regarding ticketing and entertainment acts will be available in the coming months. Visit mastersgrandslam.com for more information.
