Linda Zang Replaces Anne Gribbons As WEG Judge

Dec 13, 2009 - 5:50 AM

Fédération Equestre Internationale officials named Linda Zang as the new president of the ground jury at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games after Anne Gribbons accepted the position of U.S. Technical Advisor.

Gribbons was scheduled to judge at the WEG, but her new job would create a conflict of interest.

Zang, Davidsonville, Md., is an FEI “O-level” judge and has officiated at more than 32 World Cup qualifiers, numerous World Cup League Finals, two previous WEGs and the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Ga. This year she was inducted into the Roemer Foundation/USDF Hall of Fame.

The other WEG dressage judges include:

  • Cara Whitham (CAN)
  • Stephen Clarke (GBR)
  • Mary Seefried (AUS)
  • Evi Eisenhardt (GER)
  • Maribel Alonso (MEX)
  • Ghislain Fouarge (NED)
