Cooper Meets The Killer Sheep; I Meet Michael Jackson

Cooper looks right at home in his spacious new stall at Capt. Mark Phillips' Aston Farm.

Hello everyone, from my first whole day in England!

Cooper enjoyed a nice easy day yesterday lounging in the paddock, and I took him for a nice hack today, which was great...Except for the sheep.

As some of you may know, Cooper can be just a little bit spooky, and as everyone knows, sheep could kill a horse at any given moment. But other than being terrified of some sheep, he is in good spirits and has a ton of energy.

Capt. Mark Phillips and his wife Sandy get back tomorrow (I haven't seen them yet, even though Cooper's staying at their farm), but it turns out that Mark has lost his U.K. cell phone, which is quite a big deal.

Last evening I had the pleasure of eating dinner with James Alliston's parents. James has worked for Bruce Davidson for the past four years I believe, and I met him while I was working for Mike Winter and competing down south. He kindly hooked me up with his parents, and it was quite funny to see their pictures of Jimmy riding when he was really little.

They also have tons of stories from all the people that have stayed at their house. I took a picture of a door that they have where everyone that comes in gets measured. There are some of my idols on that door! Bonnie Mosser, Bruce Davidson, Buck Davidson, Colin Davidson, James, Kathleen (who groomed for Buck) and Coren Morgan (who groomed for Bonnie) have all been measured and recorded on it. I have to say that I found it quite amazing and feel honored to sign that door!

The Allistons  are truly nice people and are throwing me a BBQ tonight. They said they were inviting Michael Jackson, and I was like, "Hmmmmm, what?!?!" But I guess there's a younger event rider named that around here. Kind of amusing...How would you like to have that name? Eeekkk!

I am still a bit messed up with the time zones and spent a lot of time awake last evening talking on Skype and Facebook (if anyone wants to chat, it's just fine by me!). I was chatting with Boyd Martin and Ryan Wood (my boyfriend) yesterday, as they both happened to get the same day off and were headed to Six Flags. When speaking with Woodzy (Ryan) last night, it sounded like Boyd made him ride a few too many rollercoaster,s and he vomited all over everyone on the ride...Oops. Real sorry I missed that to come ride in England.

Well, I guess thats all the exciting news I have for now, but I am including quite a few pics of the Phillips' Aston Farm and the killer sheep...

Take Care!
