Next year HITS will add a $250,000 3’ Hunter Prix Final to the weekend schedule that already hosts the Pfizer $1 Million Grand Prix as well as the Diamond Mills $500,000 Hunter Prix Final. The event will be held Sept. 8-9, 2012, at HITS-on-the-Hudson in Saugerties, N.Y.

“After seeing the response and success that we’ve had with the Million and the $500,000 Hunter Prix Final, it’s clear that these events are revitalizing the sport and exciting our customers,” said Tom Struzzieri, HITS president and CEO. “With the addition of the $250,000 3’ Hunter Prix, we are creating new opportunities for an audience of riders who, until now, didn’t have the chance to compete in a year-end final of this magnitude.”

Thirty-three qualifying classes will be held during the different HITS circuits—nine in Ocala, Fla., six in Thermal, Calif., and Tucson, Ariz., and five and seven during the spring and summer series in Saugerties and Culpeper, Va., respectively.

Riders and horses must qualify at a HITS show. Detailed specifications and qualifying requirements will be available soon at
