George H. Morris Horsemastership Training Session Announces Invited Riders

Officials with The George H. Morris Horsemastership Training Session announced the riders who are invited to participate in the session from Jan. 5- 9, 2010, in Wellington, Fla.

The riders are as follows:

  • Jacqueline Lubrano, first on the USA Equitation Computer Rankings List
  • Jessica Springsteen, second on the USA Equitation Computer Rankings List
  • Zazou Hoffman, third on the USA Equitation Computer Rankings List and first West Coast rider on the USA Equitation Computer Rankings List
  • Christy Distefano, fourth on the USA Equitation Computer Rankings
  • Tina DiLandri, second West Coast rider on the USA Equitation Computer Rankings List
  • Matthew Metell, winner of the USEF Talent Search-East
  • Theodore Boris, winner of the USEF Talent Search-West
  • Jennifer Waxman, North American Young Riders Individual Champion
  • Reed Kessler, USEF National Junior Jumper Individual Champion
  • Chase Boggio, wild card based on performance

Riders will participate in mounted sessions conducted by George H. Morris, legendary horseman and chef d'équipe of the Olympic gold medal show jumping team, in the grand prix ring on the South Grounds of the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center each morning.

Industry experts will give lectures and presentations.  The aim of the training session is to develop a pipeline of young "horsemasters" for future U.S. teams.

The final schedule will be available Dec. 1 at www.syracuseinvitational.com.  The public is invited to audit the mounted and educational sessions for free.
