FEI Tribunal Announces Final Decision On Pablo Barrios

The FEI Tribunal issued its final decision in the case involving show jumper Pablo Barrios of Venezuela on Oct. 26.

Barrios was selected for in-competition testing at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz, Mexico, on Nov. 29, 2014. Analysis of the rider's urine sample at a World Anti-Doping Agency-accredited laboratory revealed the presence of hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic, which is a prohibited substance under WADA’s 2014 Prohibited List. Barrios stated he took the medication for high blood pressure problems.
