411: O’Connor is one of the top event riders to ever come out of the US. He and partner Custom Made were inducted into the USEA Hall of Fame in 2009. O’Connor retired from international competition in 2004, but is still actively involved in the equestrian community. He serves as president of the USEF and coach of the Canadian event team. O’Connor and wife Karen run a large eventing facility and together coach a large string of top riders and young horses.
