When all is said and done, 12 lucky riders will be invited to participate in the 2012 George H. Morris Horsemastership Training Session, which will take place Jan. 3-7 at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Palm Beach, Fla. The clinic is in its sixth year of existence and gives the nation’s top junior riders the chance to learn from the master himself, U.S. Show Jumping Chef d’Equipe George Morris.
The clinic, held over four days, is a complete lesson on all aspects of horsemanship, including stable management, veterinary care and nutrition seminars in addition to mounted lessons. Morris and other experts in the field will spend time teaching young riders more about riding, horsemanship and their role in the equine industry.

- Katherine Dinan, young rider individual gold medalist from the 2011 Adequan/FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships
- Samantha Schaefer, junior individual gold medalist from the 2011 Adequan/FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships and the champion of the 2011 Platinum Performance/USEF Talent Search Finals—East
- Meg O’Mara, 2011 Randolph College/USEF National Junior Jumper Individual Champion
- Michael Murphy, reserve champion of the 2011 Platinum Performance/USEF Talent Search Finals—East
- Demi Stiegler, champion of the 2011 Platinum Performance/USEF Talent Search Finals—West
- Sage Flynn, reserve champion of the 2011 Platinum Performance/USEF Talent Search Finals—West
An additional two riders will be selected from the U.S. Hunter Jumper Association Emerging Athlete Program, as well as three wild card riders chosen by Morris. One additional rider will be invited as well.
