Artist Claudia Coleman has painted horses and dogs for more than 35 years, with her experiences taking her far and wide. Her paintings hang in four countries, and she's represented in the Art in Embassies program plus numerous private and public collections.
An avid rider and follower of hounds, her paintings reflect a thorough understanding of sport and the countryside.
Coleman, Southern Pines, N.C., painted this week's cover, Hunting Home, to commemorate jt.-MFH Virginia Moss' 50th year with the Moore County Hounds (N.C.). She's pictured aboard Sunny Winters, with Richard D. Webb, also the jt.-MFH of Moore County, riding alongside.
This year, Mrs. Moss celebrated her 95th birthday.
