Courtney Dye continues to make progress in her slow but steady journey to recover from her traumatic brain injury.
Her husband, Jason, posted on her website that Courtney’s memory is almost back to 100 percent and her speech improves daily.
“Physically Courtney works hard every day with multiple sessions in the therapy gym to target specific weaknesses. The main focus right now is learning to walk and compensating for her weaker right side,” wrote Jason. “She can walk assisted by therapists for limited distances. The time frame for when she will walk unassisted is dependent on her progress, but she is determined to get there as soon as she can.”
Courtney hasn’t been able to update her website yet, but she has written some brief emails and was able to call her mentor Lendon Gray.
“Her speech is so much better and all her movement is improving,” said Gray.
For those who want to send cards to Courtney, her address is: Kessler Institue for Rehab, 1199 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange, NJ 07052.
