In a blink of an eye October has passed and Thanksgiving has almost arrived.  In that time, the Virginia Horse Center Foundation has welcomed all kinds of horse families ranging from dressage to orienteering to eventers to Paso Finos to hunter-jumpers.  We want to offer this community’s families the opportunity to make this holiday season the most memorable yet!

Holidays are a time of gathering and the Virginia Horse Center Foundation is offering special rental rates for your celebration.  The Appomattox Mezzanine in the Anderson Coliseum is available during the week and weekends for meetings, parties and receptions. The room can accommodate up to 400 people and looks out onto the Waldron Arena.  Catering is provided on site by Good Eats Café and Catering.  Staging your event at the Virginia Horse Center Foundation offers the chance to support a local non-profit organization and fete the holidays in a unique way.

In addition to offering special rental rates, the Virginia Horse Center Foundation is proud to promote Good Eats Café and Catering’s holiday catering services.  Thanksgiving and Christmas meals are available in full or a la carte from Chef Woody Harris and his expert team.  Orders for Thanksgiving should be submitted by November 21 and for Christmas by December 17.  Good Eats provides pick-up the day before and can arrange for delivery.  More information is available, along with menu items, by calling 540-649-1022 or by emailing woody@goodeatscafeandcatering.com.  Take the stress out of hosting and let Good Eats Café and Catering furnish this year’s holiday meal.

Finally, the Virginia Horse Center Foundation is excited to announce that Santa Claus will be visiting on December 17!  Get into the holiday spirit by having a pancake breakfast with Santa at the Virginia Horse Center on Saturday, December 17 from 9am -12noon. Your $5 ticket includes breakfast and a photo with Santa Claus from 9am-noon.  Then from 1-3pm bring your pets to the VHCF for their chance to pose with Father Christmas outside of the Anderson Coliseum.

For information on any of these events or rental opportunities, please contact Foundation staff by calling 464-2953 or emailing dwork@horsecenter.org.
