AETA: Day Two

What would a hunter judge make of a Charles Owen helmet in purple and green?

Day 2 at the AETA International Trade Show started off with more traffic and people looking to get their business completed so they can get home and beat the bad weather. Despite a sense of impending weather doom, sales are brisk, and many booths are busy showing buyers new products, colors and styles for 2010.

Our hairnet mannequin Stella has acquired a fancy new Charles Owen helmet (The JR8, thanks Casey!). Because you can’t just be stylish, you have to be safe too. One Knot Hairnet had a great day, with lots of orders from tack shops around the country.

The general commentary is that business looks much better for 2010, something we can all be excited about. Check out the photos.

Elizabeth Howell grew up riding on the hunter/jumper circuit in Massachusetts. Now she is a horse show mom. She holds a day job at The Emily Post Institute and slings horse manure on the weekends.  Her web site is www.sheridesIpay.com.
